Welcome to RezBall! A substack run by the Diné who can talk basketball all day, Dr. Steve Pelletier. I am an NBA Draft fanatic, another soldier in the fight of Detroit vs. Everybody, and writer who has worked for PistonPowered.com, DetroitBadBoys.com, and current contributor for Woodward Pistons and Bleav in Pistons. We will mainly be focused on the NBA Draft every year as well as the Detroit Pistons since my focus is on the new crop of NBA Draft Prospects every year and my beloved Detroit Pistons.

If you wonder what is up with the name of the site and what the language is at the beginning of this post, I am Diné (Navajo) and we along with all the tribes in the United States play our own brand of basketball we have affectionately named, RezBall. RezBall is fastbreak, run-and-gun, get out and hustle your opponent into the ground type of basketball. I love being Diné and want to bring the love of basketball we in Native country to y’all through my writing and the podcast.

I also am an instructor at the University of Arizona, an alumni of the University of New Mexico and the University of Michigan. Albuquerque is my hometown and where I completed my undergraduate education. I also completed my Ph.D. at Michigan and spent plenty of time all over the Mitten (mainly South Lyon, Dearborn, and Detroit).
